Canada has more Lakes than the rest of the World combined

Canada is home to approximately 60% of the world's lakes. There is no official number of all of its smaller lakes. However, it has 31,752 lakes larger than 3 square km. It also has 561 lakes larger than 100 square km. Almost 9% of Canada's area is covered in freshwater.
